I'm Elena—a dreamer, cat and dog mother, lover of life, adventure seeker, and someone who finds beauty in everything and loves sharing it with the world.

With a background in marketing, I spent over a decade helping brands tell their stories. But what truly captured my heart—and what I call my calling—is photography. I love helping people feel comfortable, beautiful, and free to be their authentic selves in front of the camera.

Why "Freedom Seeker"?

The name “Freedom Seeker” was born from my desire to live a life free from limitations and to pursue my passions fully.

I like to think that I’ve found my freedom – emotionally, geographically, with respect to how I spend my days.

But there is always something I’m working on, yet another type of freedom to discover – freedom from worries about what others think, freedom from attachments to things that aren’t relevant anymore, financial freedom, freedom to be authentic.

So, I believe that I’ll be a lifelong student and pursuer of freedom.

Life works in funny ways. I always dreamed of being a digital nomad, imagining I’d need to be a YouTuber or have skills I thought I lacked.

But the Universe had other plans. In 2020, the pandemic gave me the push I needed. I leaned into my marketing skills, became location-independent, and started working remotely with wellness and holistic companies to help them share their stories.

At the same time, I found myself falling in love with photography. What started as a creative outlet grew into my true calling—capturing the beauty of people and moments.

What I love most is helping women reveal their inner light. It takes courage to be vulnerable and inner work to love yourself as you are. This has been my lifelong journey, and I've come a long way.

The digital nomad life

MY STORY

I'm originally from Bulgaria but left in 2011 to study in the UK. I studied marketing in sunny Bournemouth and then moved to London. I loved everything about London—the architecture, the buzz, the bars and restaurants, the beautiful parks, and the proximity to five airports. I thrived on socialising and adventuring until COVID-19 changed everything.

In November 2020, with another UK lockdown looming, I spontaneously packed my bags and took a one-way flight to the Algarve in Portugal, just a day before flights were banned. I arrived without a plan and quickly fell in love with the Algarve.

The anticipated one month turned into several, and after a year split between Portugal and the UK, I finally received British citizenship—ironically, after I'd already moved to Portugal.

I started a new life, enchanted by the sun, ocean, and sense of freedom. Becoming a digital nomad, a lifestyle I always dreamed of, was prompted by a global pandemic. I feel blessed to work from anywhere, enjoying the sunshine, food, and culture. Oh, what a life well-lived!

When I arrived in Portugal, I was surrounded by wild nature and yoga retreat venues, giving me a sense of freedom. With little else going on, I started taking photos and built a yoga-themed portfolio.

Encouraged by positive feedback and a supportive life coach, I turned my hobby into a professional service.

Portrait photography is my greatest passion, allowing me to connect with people, understand their stories, and capture their true personalities through my lens. My marketing expertise is an added bonus, helping me capture the right photos to effectively promote their services.
