Wedding photography in the Algarve
Wedding photography should feel like part of the day, rather than something that keeps interrupting it.
I photograph weddings as they naturally unfold, with all the nerves, the laughter, the happy tears, the slightly chaotic moments and the tiny gestures that somehow end up meaning the most. I’ll give you direction when you need it, especially during portraits, but I’m not going to spend the whole day arranging every hand, smile and movement into place.
I’m Elena, a wedding and elopement photographer based in the Algarve. I capture soulful love stories filled with emotion, movement, connection… and usually a lot of laughter.
I work with couples who want their day to feel meaningful and relaxed, not overly staged or stiff. Before I begin, I invite you to pause and set an intention as a simple moment to arrive in your body and connect with each other (and me). From there, I gently guide when needed and quietly photograph the real stuff: the joyful chaos, the quiet moments, the in-between magic.
I want you to be present with the people you love, enjoy the champagne, forget what time it is for a little while, and trust that I’m paying attention to everything happening around you. Your photographs should bring you back to how the day actually felt, including the beautiful parts, the funny parts and all the little moments in between.

My photography style

I love good light, real emotion, and people who aren’t afraid to laugh or cry on camera. I don’t smooth your skin until it looks plastic, or reshape your face. I photograph you as you are, at your most beautiful: present, connected, and glowing.
